Anomalous Parks & Recreation Areas

Protecting the mundane, on a budget.

APRA: Anomalous Parks & Recreation Areas is a supernatural comedy setting that centers around the clandestine Anomalous Containment Foundation's efforts to ‘save’ the world on a budget. Particularly, their use of the APRA subsidiary to shore up losses by converting contained anomalies into public-facing, for-profit attractions.

Alright, brass-tacks— we're broke. If we don't find a way to keep the lights on, there's nothing standing between us and the ancient gods, cursed tomes, and man-eating soccer balls that are now probably very angry at us for holding them captive. The sponsors were a start, but we're going to have to do more to keep afloat, both financially and literally; our floating headquarters are in dire need of repairs.

That, my friends, is why I propose the creation of APRA: Anomalous Parks & Recreation Areas— a less clandestine subsidiary of our own Anomalous Containment Foundation. Their focus will be on creating and maintaining public, for-profit attractions— parks, museums, tourist traps— out of the not-quite-world-ending anomalies we've contained. The sponsors will pay a pretty penny to advertise and sell their garbage at our parks, too.

I don't even need to ask— you will approve this idea, because we both know you've got nothing better. This is a risk, but hey! Maybe your kids will get a kick out of the friendlier parks we open? We've got an immortality theme park, a ████████ ████, and an island made entirely of very poisonous but very pretty candy! The kids'll love it! Just don't let them eat the candy.

Alright, that's that, meeting over. Get out of my office.
